Hey hey! Happy Wednesday, y’all- I hope you all had a fun & relaxing weekend! I’m currently writing this post snuggled up with some Panera mac & cheese, so you could say I’m a happy camper. 🙂 Today I want to talk about something that’s been on my heart lately: comparison. There’s honestly no post I like writing more for y’all than the ones where we talk about life- I LOVE having conversations with all of you in the comments, and hearing your thoughts. With that said, I’m hoping we can all have a discussion down in the comments after y’all finish reading this post!
Happy Monday, chicas!! I feel like the weeks are just BLOWING by- it feels like just a day ago that I started off a blog post with a happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend, and hopefully a relaxing one. Akash & I took a day trip to Austin on Saturday, and it was a lot of fun, but I can’t even tell y’all how happy I was to have a lazy Sunday just to catch up on work and clean up around the house. It’s been a pretty rough week, since I was sick with God knows what for a whole 7 days. It’s the worst when you’re sick and you stay home yet you can’t get any work done! Anyway, I won’t bum y’all out with that!
Our trip was short and sweet, and we spent the day eating our hearts out and shopping- my two favorite things! While we were in the city, I found this most adorable dress at Nordstrom, and I couldn’t help but take it home with me- the best part, it’s under $80!! There’s something so effortless yet chic about an LWD that I just can’t get enough of, especially around summer time. The best part is that you can wear it countless different ways- casual/dressy, simple/accessorized. AND, if you get a simple LWD, it never goes out of style either! Definitely one of my favorite go-to looks of all time, that I wear to all types of occasions- birthday dinners, date nights, brunch, you name it.
One of my favorite ways to wear LWD’s are with simple accessories that add a tiny pop of color, like these light pink shoes & earrings I paired with the dress. Two things that I already had in my closet, but when paired with this dress they made for a whole different look!
I’m linking a few of my favorite LWD options below, so if you’re in the market for a new white dress check them out- they’re all under $100!
Happy Friday, chickees!! I trust that you all had a great week, and are enjoying your Friday so far! Today I’m working with JORD Wood Watches to bring y’all the perfect gift for any lady (or guy!) in your life. I’ve been eyeing these watches for the longest time, so when the JORD team reached out to work with me I was ecstatic!
For everyone who hasn’t realized it yet, Mother’s Day is in less than a month! These wood watches make the PERF gift for Mother’s Day, and there are so many options to choose from. Have a friend or relative graduating soon? These watches would be an awesome gift for graduation, too!
I wanted to keep today’s look a little more casual- literally anyone can wear these watches, and I love the wood because it makes the watch super easy to dress up or dress down, and you can wear it so many ways! I love the way it paired with this look- even Akash loved it too! I’m even thinking of getting him one for his birthday coming up too. JORD has a ton of choices for guys, too- I’m thinking about getting this one for Akash. After I shared the unboxing of my watch this past week on Insta stories, I got like 5 questions from guys asking where to get one, so if you have a special guy in your life celebrating something soon this is an awesome gift idea. Shopping for Akash is always the hardest, because I want to get him something that’s what I call a “butterfly” gift- something he’s excited about, and he normally wouldn’t get for himself. Do y’all remember that feeling you get every Christmas when Santa (thanks Mommy) gets you the toy you’ve been wanting for months? Yeah, that feeling! I always want to get him a gift that gives him that feeling, but at the same time I want to get him something that’s functional and can actually be used on a day to day basis. Long explanation short: these watches are perfect for that. 🙂

Summer’s almost here- YAY! Unfortunately for me, my summers of endless pool days and hanging out with friends are long gone, but on the bright side I have 2 weeks before the start of my internship to have some fun! I’m also SO pumped about all the trends coming around this summer- I just can’t have enough tassels or pom poms, y’all!
With that said, today I wanted to share my summer wish list- it’s full of things that may or may not already be in my shopping cart, or just things I’ve been eyeing. I can’t wait for this summer, y’all- it’s my last one as a student! Next summer I’ll officially be at a big girl job… it’s scary to think about!
Anyway, I had so much fun putting this wish list together for y’all- I’m currently still in bed sick. It’s officially my 5th day with this cold, and I’m miserable, y’all!! I hope you guys are having a better week than I am- we’re almost halfway through til the weekend!
Give me lace-up everything! This is definitely one of my favorite trends of the season, and I seriously can’t get enough. The best part about this outfit? This dress is under $20!!! Yes, $20! I want to start incorporating more affordable pieces sprinkled throughout my blog posts, so keep an eye out for some more inexpensive looks!
This entire outfit is under $100! I’m in love with this pair of Marc Fishers that I found at Ross, for under $30. I love shopping at stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, & Marshalls. Shopping at bargain stores is for sure hit or miss, but I always find so many goodies most times that I go! The only bad part is that I can’t link these exact shoes for y’all, but definitely check by your local Ross to see if they still have these babies in stock.
How was everyone’s Easter weekend?! Mine was unfortunately spent sick in bed… I had a cold all weekend & was bedridden for the past 3 days, ugh. There’s seriously nothing worse than being sick, especially since I always get sick at the worst times. Akash & I originally had a trip to Austin planned, but unfortunately it didn’t work out since I could barely leave the house to go grocery shopping. Anyway, I hope you all had a blessed weekend spent with everyone you love! This week’s going to be a busy one- your girl’s got 3 exams and a presentation this week. Happy Monday, friends!
