Hi guys! I say this every time that I don’t write for a while, but I MISSED Y’ALL! I may or may not have noticed that I took about a 2 week hiatus from posting on the blog. To be totally honest, I’ve had a pretty bad case of blogging rut. For the past month or so, I haven’t been able to find inspiration to motivate me to create content. I think maybe it’s just because the past month or so has been jam packed with things outside of the blog- a new job, school, and at the same time trying really hard to pour into my friendships while I’m still in college. I haven’t had time to remember what it really is that I love about blogging. So here I am being real with y’all about it!
Last week I did a poll on Instagram Stories asking if y’all prefer to see fashion/beauty posts or life posts. The results were pretty much half-half! Even though the votes for fashion were a little higher, I figured it meant that almost half of you want to see more life posts on here. It also happened that there’s been a topic on my mind lately… can you guess what it is? 😉
With a majority of y’all in college/fresh out of college, I figure this would be appropriate. A big part of college is learning to be alone. Since you’re moving out on your own, you don’t always have a house full of people. There’s not always a friend to go to the mall with. Even if there is, there’ll be some point in everyone’s life where being alone is inevitable. Today I’m sharing some tips on how I learned to be alone.
Over the past month or so, I’ve been really trying to get back into reading. No, not on a Kindle, or through an audiobook, but with real life, filled-with paper books. Crazy, I know. Jokes aside, I’ve actually really been loving it! Growing up, I was always a huge reader. I guess with the rise of something called Netflix, I stopped reading books at some point. It all started when I was leaving for the cruise. I wanted something to entertain me while I was at sea possibly without internet, so that I could enjoy some peace and quiet by the ocean. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. For the past month, I’ve zoomed through probably 20 or so books. Without further ado, here are my picks for some great books for twenty something women!
Happy Friday girlies! Hope you’re all ready for the weekend- I know I definitely am. To be totally transparent with you guys, I don’t have too much to share today- I definitely don’t have enough to share about this look that can take up a whole post worth… so I thought it would be fun to play a little catch up and just chat with you guys. Bare with me though- there definitely won’t be much structure or organization to today’s post, so forgive me if I go off on a billion random tangents!
Hey hey! Happy Wednesday, y’all- I hope you all had a fun & relaxing weekend! I’m currently writing this post snuggled up with some Panera mac & cheese, so you could say I’m a happy camper. 🙂 Today I want to talk about something that’s been on my heart lately: comparison. There’s honestly no post I like writing more for y’all than the ones where we talk about life- I LOVE having conversations with all of you in the comments, and hearing your thoughts. With that said, I’m hoping we can all have a discussion down in the comments after y’all finish reading this post! Continue reading
