Happy Friday, friends!! This weekend is my last weekend in Dallas before I head back to school in College Station. I’m not going to lie- I’m seriously bummed. I wish I could stay at home forever! No responsibilities, no chores, unlimited food prepared for me on command, snuggle time with my puppy… I never want to leave!

I can’t believe I only have two semesters left at Texas A&M. On one hand I’m excited for what’s to come but on the other hand I’m also really dreading going back to College Station. Even though everything looks pretty grim right now, I’m trying to look on the bright side and get myself excited for the good things ahead. I’m excited for all of the blog posts coming your way, and all the cool content I have in store for all of you! My blog’s seen a lot more traffic in the last few weeks, and it’s been so amazing seeing the growth in our little family here. For all of you in college, let me know what you’re excited for this semester. Any exciting trips planned for spring break? I want to know!

Have a great weekend, pretty ladies!

The Art of Dressing the Part

img_1024Being that I’m only a little over a year away from graduation, I’ve finally had to come to terms with the fact that it’s time for me to start adulting… (I’m crying too.)

With becoming a REAL grown-up comes having professional grown-up clothes. I struggled a lot the past few years at career fairs searching for internship because I’ve always thought of business professional attire as being stuffy, itchy, and boring- but it really doesn’t have to be! There are actually a ton of ways to style business professional clothes by incorporating your own style without looking boring. I’m hoping to share a few of my business-professional/business casual outfit ideas with y’all, because I know sometimes I need some inspiration too!

I found this dress at TopShop and paired some super simple black pieces with gold accents to go with it. When it comes to business wear, my rule-to-live-by is keep it simple. I usually try and stick to one focus color, and two neutrals to complement it. This way nothing looks to busy & it makes it so much easier to pair outerwear.

I love this pair of heels to go with dresses when your toes want a break from being crammed into a pair of pumps. Plus, I wear these all the time with casual date outfits too- they’re so versatile, it’s such an essential!

I also LOVE this Tory Burch bag- it comes with a detachable strap, so you can wear it as a clutch or a crossbody bag. I personally think carrying it as a clutch totally transforms the look. If you find a bag that has a detachable strap, you basically have a two-in-one!

Like I said, it’s important to keep it simple! I paired this outfit with two delicate gold bracelets- they add a nice touch without being too much.

Hopefully this outfit gave you some inspiration- let me know what you think!

It’s Sweater (Dress) Weather

I’ve had a pretty uneventful week this week! The calm before the storm next week- so many things jam-packed into 7 days- my anniversary, my ring day, and my rink dunk!

Today’s outfit is super simple but perfect for this time of year. I’ve been loving the look of these long beaded wrap necklaces, so I thought I would try to feature it in an outfit!

Loving the way all the earthy tones work together! So fall, so cute, so comfy. 🙂 Have a great weekend!! See you Monday 🙂

On Saturdays We Tailgate

For those of y’all in the South, Saturdays in the fall mean one thing and one thing only- COLLEGE GAME DAY! I always stress about what to wear, and 80% of the time always find myself scouring every boutique in town for a cute maroon dress or top for game day. If any of y’all are the same way, I’m here to save the day!

I thought it would be fun to put together a few outfit ideas so that y’all could get some inspiration for gamedays, or even just in general! My school’s color is maroon, but if your school has a different color you could always take the pieces I feature and just find something similar in your school’s colors.

Case of the Monday Blues

I hate Mondays just as much as you do, trust me, but hopefully this blog post makes your day a little better!

In case you haven’t been able to tell, I’ve been really enjoying creating outfit posts for y’all. My style tends to consist of pulling together simple pieces to make an outfit. This one is no exception! I’m a big fan of playing with basics, and one that I think every girl should have is a denim jacket. They’re so easy to play around with, and the best part is- they’re so comfy! Continue reading
