For the past two weeks or so, I’ve had a growing itch to write more personal, life-pondering posts. There’s truly nothing I love more than getting to engage with you guys through this channel- I think if I didn’t actually get to interact with y’all, I probably wouldn’t still be blogging. With that said, I want to start introducing posts where we can all just talk about LIFE. So here’s my first attempt. 🙂
Give me lace-up everything! This is definitely one of my favorite trends of the season, and I seriously can’t get enough. The best part about this outfit? This dress is under $20!!! Yes, $20! I want to start incorporating more affordable pieces sprinkled throughout my blog posts, so keep an eye out for some more inexpensive looks!
This entire outfit is under $100! I’m in love with this pair of Marc Fishers that I found at Ross, for under $30. I love shopping at stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, & Marshalls. Shopping at bargain stores is for sure hit or miss, but I always find so many goodies most times that I go! The only bad part is that I can’t link these exact shoes for y’all, but definitely check by your local Ross to see if they still have these babies in stock.
How was everyone’s Easter weekend?! Mine was unfortunately spent sick in bed… I had a cold all weekend & was bedridden for the past 3 days, ugh. There’s seriously nothing worse than being sick, especially since I always get sick at the worst times. Akash & I originally had a trip to Austin planned, but unfortunately it didn’t work out since I could barely leave the house to go grocery shopping. Anyway, I hope you all had a blessed weekend spent with everyone you love! This week’s going to be a busy one- your girl’s got 3 exams and a presentation this week. Happy Monday, friends!
We’re at that time of year where I begin dreaming of sand between my toes & wind in my hair, sitting on a beach drinking fruity goodness… but I guess for now a day at the pool will have to do! Summer time is one of my favorite times of year for fashion because of all the bright, fun colors. If it was up to me, I would make bright colors a year-round thing!
It was love at first sight when I saw this bag- who’s with me?! Tassels are huge this season, so I couldn’t resist getting this baby. The best part- it’s under $40!!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I’m a pretty simple girl- this outfit is definitely no exception! Both this top and bag are from Lulu’s, and I already know I’ll be wearing this top non-stop through spring and summer. My style often consists of super classic & simple pieces, with a little pop of color or something more bold.
Do any of y’all have plans for Easter weekend? Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it back home this Easter, because I have a jam-packed weekend of work & catching up on school. Y’all- I just registered for my LAST semester of college, and had my last appointment with my advisor. It’s all becoming so real!! Soon I’ll be sending in my application for graduation too. I’ve been thinking about doing a college advice post- would any of y’all be interested in that? If yes- send me questions or topics that you’d like me to cover!
Anyway, hope all of you have an awesome weekend- happy Easter to those who celebrate!! ❤️

Happy April!! A quarter of the year is already half over- can you believe it?! Insane.
15 minutes ago, I was debating on whether to even do a monthly round-up for March- for some reason, I thought I didn’t have enough to share, so I looked in my camera roll to see what all I did this month. Turns out there’s actually quite a bit that happened this month, so I’m excited to be sharing it with all of you.
Let’s jump right into it, starting with the first weekend in March that I spent back home Dallas, Texas. In case you missed it, I did a whole post on my new blogger friend Jess. It was so fun to sit down & have lunch with her- cheers to new friends!
Also in the month of March, Akash & I discovered our new favorite restaurant in College Station- Blackwater Draw! If you follow me on Instagram (which you should) you’ve probably seen some of the pictures I took there- SO YUMMY. For any of you who are in the College Station/Bryan area, it’s a must try if you haven’t been already! Their food is to die for.
Akash & I also went on spring break on the 12th, and had so much fun in New Orleans. I’m sure you’ve all seen it, but I’ve linked the post here in case you missed it! Definitely check out that post if you’re visiting the city anytime soon- I took y’all day by day through our first time in the city of jazz.
After our trip to New Orleans, I spent 4 days back home in Dallas just catching up with friends & spending time with my family. Home is my favorite place to be! My best friend Melody & I took a trip to the Texas Tulips field in Pilot Point, Texas. It was incredibly windy, but it was fun to see it & take some cute photos. It was also during this trip that I got news that I got the internship I’d wanted!! Definitely a highlight of the month. 🙂
I had two collabs this month, and they were both so much fun to take part in! The girls at The Mint Julep Boutique & Dizzy Shoes were both so much fun to work with, and it makes me super excited for all the projects I have coming up in the near future… keep an eye out! 😉
I also shared this gorgeous maxi dress on the blog earlier in the month, and it’s probably one of my favorite pieces that I’ve featured on the blog yet. Check out the post here!
So that’s all I have for y’all today- hope you enjoyed this short & sweet monthly round-up! Here’s to a great start to April- yay!!

It’s FRIDAY, y’all!!! Yay! Akash & I have a fun date night planned tonight & I wanted to share what I’ll be wearing with all of you guys. Now that Texas has decided to be 90 degrees every day, I’m so excited to be breaking out all the bright rompers & dresses. Today I’m partnering with the Mint Julep Boutique to show you guys this gorgeous romper & super fun reptile skin clutch!
I’m loving the silhouette of this romper, and the print too. So trendy & fun for spring/summer, and to top it off the elastic band makes it incredibly comfortable. This romper is perfect for a dressier date night, but it can also be dressed down super easily to be worn on a casual pool day as a coverup. Not to mention it’s under $50?!?
I paired this number with classic block heeled nude heels, and this clutch from Mint Julep as well. Y’all know I love pairing more fun pieces with classic and simple accessories, so this outfit is so me.
Mint Julep Boutique has a ton of super fun items for spring up on their website, and the best part is that they’re all super affordable! Plus, if you sign up for their emails, you’ll receive $10 off your first order- whaaaat?!
Hope y’all enjoyed today’s outfit, I hope you all have an awesome weekend!!! 🙂
