Today I’m super excited to be reviewing the Alba Botanica anecdote skincare line today. I’ve been wanting to try out this brand for forever, so I was super stoked when they reached out to let me try some of their products.
I got to try out 3 of their products: the Acnedote™ Face & Body Scrub, Acnedote™ Clearing Gel Peel, and the Acnedote™ Pimple Patches. I’ll be sharing my thoughts on each of them today! The whole line is an entire skincare regimen that works to keep your skin clear and beautiful. What I love most about it is that it uses plant-based ingredients to gently address problematic areas. I’m all about plant-based ingredients in skincare!
Acnedote™ Face & Body Scrub
You guys know how much I love skincare, but one step I always seem to skip out on is exfoliating! For some reason, I’m always so bad about remember to exfoliate once to twice a week. I find that after using this scrub, my makeup application is made so much easier! After using the scrub, I always immediately follow up with my serums and moisturizers to make sure that my skin can soak in the products immediately. This scrub always leaves my skin feeling incredibly smooth and clean. I also love using it in the shower, on my elbows and knees particularly. It does an amazing job at making my skin feel baby soft.
Acnedote™ Clearing Gel Peel
For whenever I’m having some trouble areas, I absolutely love using this peel and the Pimple Patches to follow up. You can use this 1-2x a week, and the peel helps dry up active blemishes and eradicate acne-causing bacteria. It literally only takes 1-5 minutes for it to work, and it does an amazing job at leaving your skin refreshed. The absolute best part? It’s 100% vegetarian ingredients, no animal testing, no synthetic fragrances, no artificial colors, no harsh sulfates, no parabens or phthalates. In other words, NONE of the bad stuff you don’t want in your skin!
Acnedote™ Pimple Patches
You guys, I saved the best for last! These are a game. changer. If you ever find yourself in a pickle where you have a big meeting or presentation the next day, but you find a huge pimple on your face, these work miracles! I always use these as spot treatments when I’m getting ready to go to bed, and leave it on all night while I sleep. Earlier this week I talked about taking advantage of the time you’re sleeping (see the post here), and these are one of the products I love for it! It works while you sleep. How can you not love it?! It’s also super gentle, which I love.
