My Pre-Flight Checklist

My Pre-Flight Checklist

Over the past two years, I’ve been on more flights than probably in my entire life. I’d say I average about 3-4 domestic flights monthly, for both work and leisure. I’ve gotten to a point where I have a pretty regular routine, that’s worked super well and I haven’t forgotten anything major (yet… knock on wood.) Today’s post is all about my pre-flight checklist – hopefully this helps y’all make sure you have everything you need for your upcoming flights!

Birthday Weekend Recap

Birthday Weekend Recap

This past weekend I celebrated my birthday with my besties, and it was most definitely a weekend for the books. I thought it’d be fun to write a post on everything we need, because it would make for a great travel guide for LA too! Since y’all are always asking for recommendations, I thought it’d be a fun post to write.

My Favorite Dallas Taco Joints

My Favorite Dallas Taco Joints

I’m definitely not a food blogger by any means, but I LOVE trying new foods and discovering new places to eat! After living in Dallas for 21 years, I’ve gathered a short list of taco joints I love in the area. Since I always get requests for favorite spots in Dallas, I thought it’d be fun to write a series all about my favorite spots in the DFW area. I figured we could start with tacos, because who doesn’t love tacos?

Vacation Packing Tips

Vacation Packing Tips

I love to travel, but I hate to pack. What’s even worse than packing is unpacking. Although unfortunate, packing is a necessary task when it comes to traveling, and it’s pretty inevitable. But that doesn’t mean we can’t try and make it fun, right? Since I’m heading on a family beach vacation soon, I thought it’d be fun to share with y’all some of the tips I’ve learned over the past couple years. I’m definitely no expert, but here are some of the tips I’ve found to be helpful, especially with my heavy over-packer tendencies.

Long Beach Getaway

Long Beach Getaway

Tis the season for weekend getaways! Summertime is one of my favorite times of the year (second only to Christmas time) and now that I’m settled into a new city, one of my favorite things to do is take weekend trips. Of course I wish I could leave for a little bit longer than just a day and a half, but I’ve actually really come to enjoy quick trips as a way to explore a new place I’ve never been. A few weekends ago, The Cove Hotel in Long Beach invited Akash and I to stop by the hotel for a visit, and the timing couldn’t have been better.

Her Conference 2019 Recap with Mary Kay

Her Conference 2019 Recap with Mary Kay

This past weekend, I had the absolute honor of attending the first ever Her Conference in LA! As a few of my OG readers might remember, I actually attended my first Her Conference back in the summer of 2017 (you can check out the recap I did here!) It was such a blast, and I made some amazing connections there. I was so excited when Her Campus announced that they were doing their first one in LA, and I’m so glad I got to attend and work with Mary Kay.

Seattle Travel Diary

Seattle Travel Diary

Last week, my dad and I took a trip to Seattle together! It was the first time we got to take a daddy daughter trip, and we had such a fun time. Honestly I went into the weekend without many plans and not having done a lot of homework beforehand, which if you know me at all you know is so not me. I usually like to have all my ducks in line when traveling, and love to have a ton of spots that I want to hit during the trip. It was a particularly busy day at work, so honestly I just didn’t get too much time to planning. Even though we didn’t plan too much beforehand, we had so much fun exploring everything Seattle had to offer, and having spontaneous adventures.

Portland Food Tour

Portland Food Tour

Just a few hours ago, I got off the plane at LAX from Portland. I was in Portland for the past few days, and it was such a blast. I can’t wait to be back soon! I have a full blown Portland travel guide coming soon, but after going through all of the photos we had, I realized I had way more than enough photos to do a whole post on just the food we ate!
