Netflix Chick Flicks You Need to Watch

Netflix Chick Flicks You Need to Watch

I consider myself to be a “Netflix athlete” of sorts. Is that embarrassing? Maybe a little. Ask anyone who knows me in person- I can finish a season of a show faster than you could imagine! No, I don’t spend all day sitting in front of a TV. Since I work a full time job at my computer, then work for a few hours every night on my blog, this is a lot of time that I like having something running in the background! Chick flicks are probably my #1 favorite genre, so I’m excited to share some favorites. If you watch any of these per my recommendation, please let me know! Let’s chat. 🙂

Today we’re chatting all about fave chick flicks, but I’m planning to write posts on other genres, and shows too! Stay tuned.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

This probably goes in my Hall of Fame for best movies I’ve ever watched. Can I just say- I read this book way before it was cool! Jenny Han is my all-time favorite YA author, and I absolutely love how the book translated into the movie. High school romance movies will forever have a special place in my heart. It’s such a sweet coming-of-age story, that I think all girls can find relatable. Also, it doesn’t hurt that Noah Centineo is a total dreamboat. For those of you living under a rock who haven’t seen it yet, you need to! You won’t regret it, I promise.

Set it Up

A cute, feel-good movie, about two assistants living in NYC who set up their bosses so that they can have easier lives. It’s another Netflix-produced film, so it has to be good, obviously! Lucy Liu’s actually in this movie, and the

Rumor Has It

Gotta love a movie with Jennifer Aniston in it! I love how this movie’s humor is a little more on the dry side. If you’re looking for some early 2000s romance with a little humor, this one’s for you.

The Spectacular Now

Another amazing coming-of-age story! For one of my marketing classes in college, my group actually chose to do our project on this movie. I was the only one in the group who hadn’t seen it, so my friends encouraged me to watch it. I loved it so much, I’ve probably seen it 5 times since! Shailene Woodley is a doll, and I found the movie to be super relatable and sweet. Another high school romance!

When We First Met

This one is a funny one! Let me just start by saying that the Amell brothers are probably somewhere in my top 10 celeb crushes. If Robbie Amell’s face doesn’t sell you enough on this movie, Adam Devine is in it too! Every show/movie he’s in turns out to be one of my favorites, and this one is no exception. I feel like nowadays there aren’t a ton of the cheesy rom-coms- like the 13 Going on 30 type. This one, though, has that classic body swap/time warp plot. Love me some good ol’ cheesy early 2000s body swaps. Who doesn’t?

Chalet Girl

If you love Ed Westwick, you’ll love this movie! It’s a classic rich guy chases after normal girl plot, but throw in some snow and skiing. So relaxing and light-hearted. What’s not to love!
