Pamper Yourself: Essentials for an At-Home Spa Day

Pamper Yourself: Essentials for an At-Home Spa Day

Who doesn’t love a good bath? I know I definitely do. A nice candle, a fizzy bath bomb, and a glass of wine- what more could you ask for? After my last post sharing my favorite face masks, I got a lot of comments & emails asking about my bath time essentials. So here they are!

Candles are essential to every successful bath time. This one from Nordstrom is awesome because it’s like a more affordable high-end candle. You definitely don’t need anything fancy, just whatever scent that you enjoy & gets you relaxed! I love warm fragrances, so this one is awesome for me.

I usually always try to exfoliate my skin before putting on a face mask, and this Soap & Glory detox scrub is amazing. It’s not like a typical scrub with big microbeads- this scrub feels almost like tiny sands, so it’s not as harsh on your skin. It always leaves my skin feeling fresh & clean. You can also find it at Walgreens and Target, so it’s super accessible!

After the scrub, I love this Fresh rose face mask. It’s super calming, so for those of you with sensitive skin, you don’t have to worry about irritation. It’s also super easy! I love clay masks, but sometimes they’re a real pain in my booty to take off. This one’s super easy to rinse off & the effects are awesome.

After both the scrub and the face mask, I use this tea tree oil from The Body Shop to prevent blemishes. Take advantage of the steam from the bath opening up your pores!

I recently discovered the magic of bath bombs. I don’t know if they actually do anything for your skin, but they’re so much fun to use! My boyfriend got me this set as part of my anniversary gift, and it made me wander into Lush to explore the world of bath bombs. Now it’s safe to say I have a few too many…. oops! My favorite one so far is Intergalactic, but the one in this photo is Sex Bomb. They’re all awesome, but if you’re looking for something that gives a ton of color to your bath, try The Experimenter.

Happy bathing, friends!! 🙂
