Happy Friday, peeps! Hope your week was fabulous. I haven’t been able to write at all this week until now, unfortunately, because I have had little to no time for myself in the last few days. Thinking back to this time a year ago, it feels like a totally different lifetime. My life used to consist of 80% blog work, then 20% school. I could spend hours working on blog stuff, social media, writing, etc. but nowadays it seems like I have no time to do anything for myself during the week! Although I wish I could have more time to dedicate to blog things, I know life is all about seasons. This season is focused on my career, and learning + building a strong foundation at work. I’ve been learning an incredible amount, and experiencing so many new things! It’s pretty crazy to look back to just the past 6 months and see how much things have changed.

Also, can we talk about how sad I am that this is the first year I’m not heading back to school? I guess to make up for it, this look is slightly back to school themed, right…? Hehe.

I love the slight retro school vibe touches in this outfit! Lately I’ve been loving all things 90’s, and I’m starting to think I grew up in the wrong decade. These cap toe heels have been my #1 shoes for work the past few months- I can’t get enough. I’ve had my eye on the Chanel cap toe heels for forever, so when I saw these I knew I had to have them. They’re such a good dupe, and honestly great quality for the price. The only thing is that sometimes the back strap slips down. As long as I’m not walking miles, they’re super comfortable.

I’ve been noticing a crazy amount of snakeskin and crocodile for fall this year! Snakeskin in particular. This little cross body was calling my name at the Forever 21 event I attended last week, and I thought it was the cutest thing. It’s honestly not the best quality (I’m a little worried the zipper will be breaking soon) but for the price, it’s great for a seasonal piece!

At the same Forever 21 event last week, the Forever 21 team was so kind to gift me with this denim jacket with my Instagram handle embroidered on it. How fun! I love it so much. Y’all know all about my love for denim jackets, so of course I love this one. Another one for the collection, I love it!

How was everyone’s week? This weekend I’m looking forward to a haircut, a work party, and some good workout classes. This weekend is going to be all about having some fun after a crazy week, and getting my apartment cleaned up. Next weekend I’ll be in Dallas for Labor Day, and I can’t wait! I haven’t seen my family in about 2 months, so I can’t wait to see them and spend some time with them. What are your plans for Labor Day?
