Fall Basics I’m Loving

 

I. LOVE. FALL.

Who’s with me? As soon as the leaves start turning, and the temp (at least back home) drops below 80, I’m pulling out scarves and sweaters, carving pumpkins, and sporting over the knee boots. I love fall, what can I say?! Even though I’m in LA now where there’s basically zero seasonality, I’m still one thousand percent in the fall mood. My home decor is updated with all the jewel tones, and fall candles are out and burning. All that said, obviously I have to update my wardrobe for fall too, right? Here are some clothing pieces I’m loving for fall.

Black bodysuit + asymmetrical tanks

I’ve been wearing this one in these photos nonstop. I’m so obsessed with how effortlessly chic it is, and it fits my shape so well. I’ve worn it for a lot of events this summer, but you can bet I’ll be wearing it through the fall with some new updated versions too. I’ve also really gotten into new black bodysuits lately! Perfect for transitioning into fall.

Light wash boyfriend jeans

It’s really hard for me to find a pair of boyfriend jeans that fit well (without making my legs look like stubs), but it’s on my list this year to find a solid pair that’ll last me a while.

Trench coat

This trench coat is one of the few things I grabbed from the Nordstrom Sale this year, but I’m SO glad that I did. I’m actually wearing it at this moment; it’s so perfect for the San Francisco weather. This coat was a pretty penny, but I know it’ll be perfect for LA winters, and for fall/spring back home in Dallas.

All the gold things

I’m obsessed with my Mejuri jewelry, and I’ve been wearing these two necklaces nonstop! I’m usually a gold hardware girl anyway, but especially in fall I love how it looks with darker tones.

Snakeskin booties

Everyone and their mother has a pair of snakeskin booties it feels like! I snagged a pair of Jeffrey Campbells a little while ago, and I wore them all around New York City for fashion week. Animal print is here to stay, so if you haven’t gotten yourself a pair yet, now’s a great time!
