I get SO many questions all the time on how I style my soft waves, so I’m super excited to be partnering with Bed Head Styling to share with y’all some of my favorite tools! Today I’ll be sharing a rundown tutorial of how to get these fun waves.

After washing my hair, I start with a quick mousse to prep my hair for styling. After the mousse sets in, I grab my Bed Head Pump Up The Volume 1875 W Ion Dial Dryer. I love how well this dryer helps dry my hair so quickly! Since my hair is super thick and I have a ton of it, I typically style my hair after it’s air dried. However, with this dryer I can usually have dry hair within 20 minutes or so!

From here, I grab my Bed Head® Curlipops™ 1 1/24″ Tourmaline Ceramic Styling Iron to create the waves. This look is actually super easy to do, and whenever I curl my hair, this is the method I use. First, I part my hair down the middle, and clip up the top half. Starting from the back, I take about an inch chunk and run it around the curling wand, leaving about 1.5 inches out of the bottom. Leave it for 5 seconds, and viola! A pretty soft wave.

I run the iron through my whole head, and it’s super quick and easy to do. For festival season, I know most people like to do something crazy and fun, but I always think waves are a great place to start. From here, you can choose from so many options! Space buns, a half top-knot, princess braids with glitter or beads, the options are endless. Since I get questions about these waves all the time, I figured it would be the perfect time to share how I achieve them with y’all!

I rarely ever do hair posts, so let me know what you think of this one! If you’d like to see more I’m more than happy to do them. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend my friends!
