Good morning, sunshine! Is Wednesday anyone else’s least favorite day of the week? It definitely is mine! I thought it was only fitting to share this post on a Wednesday, to talk all about the importance of starting your mornings on the right foot (even on your least favorite days)! I’m such a big believer of mornings setting the tone for the whole day. My mornings are practically a ritual! Today I’m sharing a few tips on how to kick off every day on the right side of the bed.

First off, feed your mind! I’m honestly not actually aware of the health benefits to eating breakfast, but I do know that it is my #1 tip to starting your day on the right foot. When I’m able to sit down and have a healthy, wholesome breakfast, I’m able to take some time to prepare myself for the day. Also, it’s a great feeling, knowing that I’m fueling my body for the day ahead. Growing up, I never had a single day where my parents didn’t have breakfast waiting for me on the dining table. Because of this, I’ve come to cherish my mornings eating breakfast!

Another major tip is waking up early enough to make sure you have time to have a good morning. Nobody likes running out the door, not sure if you might have put your clothes on backwards. Although I love getting my sleep like every other person, I’d rather lose out on 15 minutes of sleep than start my day with a scrambled mind. Unless you’re constantly pulling all nighters or something, you can sacrifice 15 minutes in the morning to have a proper start to the day. 🙂

Make sure you have something to look forward to every morning! For me, it’s my getting ready routine. Since I’m such a big beauty junkie, my favorite thing every morning is figuring out what look I’m going for that day.

Stay off social media for the first hour of every day. C’mon y’all, you can let go of your phone for the first hour each day! For years, the first thing I’d do ever morning was scroll through Instagram. Half the time, I’d see something I didn’t like, and my day would start off with bad vibes. Now, I start my day by getting up and enjoying a moment of peace and quiet. I’ve come to enjoy that minute of “me time” so much!
