I meant to share this post around Christmas time, since it would’ve been perfect for any holiday parties you guys were heading to, but unfortunately I totally forgot. And here we are. But honestly, these lippies are too good not to share!
I’ve fallen into the trap the last couple years of shopping for skincare and makeup only at “high street” places (Sephora, Ulta, department stores, etc.) When I first started wearing makeup in high school, I loved researching new drugstore products to use, and experimenting with them. Although I’m at a little bit of a different place in my life now where I need staple products that are reliable and I can use on a daily basis, I recently stopped by the beauty area in Target and was so impressed. Firstly, the packaging on everything seems to have gotten a major upgrade in the last few years. Also, the shelves are so brightly lit, it makes you feel like you’re in a department store!
During the holiday season, I love wearing a statement red lipstick to any and all special occasions. After moving, I threw out all my old lipsticks, so I was looking for a pretty red that wouldn’t cost me over $20, so Target was perfect. All that said, I picked out a few items to take home with me that day, and after trying them out, I’m officially hooked on these products for the perfect red lip.
These Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayons are the bomb diggity, my friends. They stay on so well (hence the name) and have this amazing pigment, so you only need a thin layer to last you all night. I tested it out at one of our friend’s holiday parties, and I wore it all night long. I also wore the fuchsia color during one of our days in San Diego, and it lasted basically all day (through eating and drinking!) Here’s a pic of it on!
The best part is that they’re less than $5 at your local drugstore. LESS THAN FIVE DOLLARS. What the heck! It’s so good, you guys!! If you try it out let me know – would love to see it on all of your beautiful faces.
