Writing you from my new living room setup! I don’t know about y’all, but I tend to get a little “itchy” with my home decor every couple months. I get tired of things pretty easily, so I’m always redecorating something or another. It’s a problem.
Since we’ve been spending so much more time at home with the current quarantine, I’ve been itching to have a little home update, specifically in the living room. I actually ended up ordering a few new things for other parts in my apartment too, but the living room is the one that I’ve finished first.
Here’s the before/after of our living room!
For the most part, the living room stayed the same, but I updated a few major things. The first is the coffee table! I saw on Instagram a few weeks ago that Pier 1 was running a 25% off sale on all of their coffee tables, and since I’d had my eyes peeled for a new coffee table for the last few months, I decided to pull the trigger. To be honest I’m not 1000% in love with it in this space, but I think it’s a great piece to keep with me for all of my future apartments and homes. I love how it looks super elegant and is neutral, so it’ll hopefully live with me for a while. The only thing is I do wish that the living room was bigger, because I feel like the room is a bit congested with a larger coffee table.
The pillows stayed the same for the most part – I usually switch up the pillows every few months & rotate them out with ones that I already have, just to spruce things up. I normally don’t like buying new pillows, just because it’s easy to have a solid set that you can constantly switch out for refreshing.
I’m SO excited about the new art in here! We’ve had these for a couple weeks now, and I still get a little bit of excitement every time I see them. Funny story: I had actually seen this GORGEOUS piece of art while I was in NYC for fashion week, and I took a photo of it through the window. I looked up similar pieces of art once I got home, and everything that had the modern brush strokes that I loved was a minimum of $5000+. When I saw these prints on Desenio’s website, I knew I had to snag them! Unfortunately I was a little bummed because one of the prints came ripped, but I reached out to their customer support and had a new one delivered within a couple weeks. If you’re looking for new art, Desenio is an awesome place to shop for it! They have a ton of great quality prints, and inexpensive frames. I’d highly recommend for anyone who’s living in an apartment & looking for art that doesn’t break the bank.
Has anyone else been redoing their whole house during quarantine?! Where are your favorite places to shop for home decor? Plus, linking all the items shared here!
PS. I miss HomeGoods so much. Browsing the aisles at HomeGoods is one of my favorite pastimes, and it’ll probably be one of my first stops once things open up! Anyone else?
