The Glowy Skin Secret with Facile

The Glowy Skin Secret with Facile

Y’all know I am SUCH a skincare junkie, so I am so excited to share today’s post with you! Facile Skin was so kind to invite me for a treatment, but today’s post is not sponsored. As always, I’m sharing my total honest and open opinion with you all!

Let me start by telling you how the facility is absolutely stunning. The interiors are totally next level. If you ever need a good Insta, just book an appointment at Facile. It’s gorge! The location I visited was in West Hollywood, but they also have a location in Pasadena. The location was so ideal for me, because it was less than a 5 minute drive from my house! I honestly probably could have walked, if I wanted to. The boutique is located in a little secluded area off of Robertson in WeHo. When I visited, there was plenty of street parking available.

Initially when I had looked at the treatment menu, I had my eye on a few of the facials. However, when I arrived, I met Breana, who is a nurse practitioner at Facile. She was incredibly knowledgeable, and so patient to answer all my questions on what treatment would be most effective for me. Since I visited Tuesday morning and had planned to go straight to work afterwards, we decided the best thing would be to try a light peel.

I’ve gotten plenty of facials before, but had never done a peel, so I was a bit nervous going into it. Would it hurt? Would my skin shed like crazy? What are the after-effects? Breana walked me through each question, and was super detailed on after-treatment care. For any treatment/procedure, I find it super helpful and comforting when the practitioner is detailed and patient- it can truly make or break any experience for me.

(this is the peel we did!)

The peel process went by super quickly. I didn’t feel any tingling or pain whatsoever. She did a few passes on my skin, and about 5 minutes later I was already heading out the door. Quick and easy!

Even after the peel as I headed to work, my colleague Anne stopped me to say that my skin looked super glowy. Initially I didn’t really see much of a difference, but as the days go on I feel like my skin texture is evening out. The glow is so real! Is this what it’s like to be pregnant? Haha!

I’m currently on Day 4, and everything’s looking pretty peachy. The peeling was very minimal, and overall it was a really great experience for a first peel. If you’ve never done one before, I highly recommend it. I will most definitely be back soon!

For all my ladies in the LA area looking for a great skin place, definitely go see my friends at Facile. Let them know I sent you! Make sure to snap a quick selfie in the bathroom too- the wallpaper is so fun, it’s a pink + banana leaf pattern.

Have y’all done peels before? Which ones are your favorites? I have my eye on a microneedling treatment, but I think I’m a little too squirmish for that… if you’ve tried it I totally want to hear your thoughts!
